Description
Chocolate cookie cups filled with green frosting, candy eyes, and spooky decorations, Cauldron Cookies are the perfect Halloween party treat.
Ingredients
- 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup canola or vegetable oil
- Few drops black food coloring (optional)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1–3 tablespoons milk
- Few drops green food coloring
- 2 tablespoons round green sprinkles
- 2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles
- 1 pack candy eyeballs
- 12 pretzel sticks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease mini muffin pans. Gather all ingredients for smooth baking.
- Mix cake mix, eggs, oil, and optional black coloring until smooth.
- Scoop dough into pans, flatten slightly, and bake 8–10 minutes until edges set.
- Press centers while warm with a spoon to form cups; cool fully.
- Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, salt, and milk until smooth; tint frosting green.
- Pipe frosting into cooled cups to resemble bubbling potion.
- Top with sprinkles, candy eyeballs, and pretzel stick halves before serving.
Notes
- Unfrosted cookie cups can be frozen for up to 3 months. Frost just before serving for best results.
