- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- ½ cup whole milk or evaporated milk
- 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin
- 3 tbsp water (for blooming)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Bloom gelatin in 3 tbsp warm water; set aside.
- Melt cheddar, butter, and milk in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Add bloomed gelatin, baking soda, and salt; stir until smooth.
- Blend until fully creamy and pour into a lined mold.
- Chill for 3–4 hours, then slice and serve.
Notes
Try swapping cheddar for Colby or Jack for a milder flavor.
