- 8 oz mild white cheddar, grated
- ½ cup milk or evaporated milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin (optional)
- 3 tbsp warm water
- 1 tsp vinegar or citric acid
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Bloom gelatin in warm water for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt cheese, milk, and butter.
- Stir in gelatin, vinegar, and salt until smooth.
- Blend for extra creaminess (optional).
- Pour into a mold and chill for 4 hours or until firm.
- Slice and use as desired.
Notes
Use Monterey Jack for a twist or add jalapeños for heat.
